Get access to three great films to edit:

Ford vs. Ferrari (2019) is an exhilarating sports drama that chronicles the true story of the American automotive giant Ford's quest to build a race car capable of beating the dominant Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Matt Damon and Christian Bale deliver exceptional performances in this high-speed battle of engineering and determination.
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) is a captivating biopic that celebrates the legendary rock band Queen and its enigmatic frontman, Freddie Mercury. With stunning performances and a phenomenal soundtrack, the film follows the band’s rise to fame, their iconic Live Aid performance, and the personal journey of Mercury, leaving audiences inspired and moved.
Super Troopers (2002) is a comedy about a group of misfit state troopers who spend their time pulling pranks and engaging in outrageous antics. As they clash with a local police department and investigate a drug smuggling operation, their unconventional methods and offbeat humor lead to a riotously entertaining adventure.

  • The Art Of The Trailer is a unique online training program led by Brett Winn, founder of one of Hollywood's top movie trailer companies, that helps editors develop the skills and knowledge to create incredible careers making movie trailers. Over the course of the program, you'll create your own real movie trailer, receiving detailed feedback and guidance on your work from professional movie trailer editors at The Refinery at every step of the process. If your work stands out, you just might join the AOT participants who have already earned interviews and jobs at The Refinery.
  • As you progress through 4+ hours of in-depth video masterclasses taught by Brett, he'll give you assignments that focus on each stage of the process of making a movie trailer: concept development, choosing and editing the footage, music, SFX and dialogue, motion graphics and finishing. You'll receive in-depth feedback and guidance on each assignment from real movie trailer editors. When you complete the course, you'll have real movie trailer you can add to your portfolio.
  • Absolutely. If you've watched the videos and given the assignments your best shot (submitting each of them within 3 months of signing up for the course) and don't feel you got the same value that our other participants receive, we'll refund your full payment.

What our students say.

“The Art of the Trailer was a fantastic course, not just for editors, but for filmmakers as well. Each lesson thoroughly broke down every aspect of cutting a movie trailer while also being succinct and manageable. I would recommend this course to editors seeking to expand their skills in both storytelling and marketing. The Art of the Trailer is also ideal for independent filmmakers looking to generate interest in their projects. I will be recommending to editors and professors alike.”

“The course is wonderful, and should attract a lot of interest. There’s a great deal to learn and a great deal of information presented in the course. The host is likeable and is a good teacher. I imagine other students are getting a lot out of the content.”

“I had a great time working through this course. I learned a lot about what goes into trailer editing behind the scenes. Having wanted to edit movie trailers for years, and having 7 years of non-trailer editing experience, it was a really cool opportunity and a fun challenge. The feedback from the instructors is very detailed and I really appreciated that as well. Overall I had a great time going through this course and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to get into trailer editing.”
